## What Jamie wrote

I've wrestled with this issue myself. I find it odd when I write about a book to link to Amazon. A lot of people used to, or still do, so that they generate affiliate revenue. I don't do that, and why when linking to something to I link to a _store_? I tend to follow the advice here already, but I wish there were something even more open and public focused. It would be an interesting space for [Wikimedia Foundation](https://wikimediafoundation.org) to start a project.
