It is made even more amazing by the entry-level commodity hardware that powers it! > You can think of Vizy as a powerful platform for AI, scientific and vision applications and a great way to become familiar with and learn AI and image processing. This is an interesting "edge model" where the intelligence is on the device, and then the code running locally can make decisions and act on it. Look at the example on the website of the camera watching a bird feeder, detected a squirrel, and then spraying only squirrels with water. This is an interesting, commodity platform with open source tools to power an extremely broad array of solutions. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Appears in - [WT184: Weekly Thing #184 / UML, Vizy, Markdown](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/184/), Must Read ## Saved the same week - [Why you need a platform team for Kubernetes — Polar Squad](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/e0c7f165a363/) (polarsquad.com, April 29, 2021) - [How to Successfully Hand Over Systems | SoundCloud Backstage Blog](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b6f06620bdb6/) (developers.soundcloud.com, April 29, 2021) - [Embrace your inner incident commander – Increment: Reliability](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/d5bbb965b8f5/) (increment.com, April 29, 2021) - [Emojis as Favicons | CSS-Tricks](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/952d81e76037/) (css-tricks.com, April 29, 2021) - [An open letter to the Linux community - April 24, 2021 | Department of Computer Science and Engineering | University of Minnesota](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6040e0ffb64f/) (cse.umn.edu, April 29, 2021) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://vizycam.com/
