  "title": "Top Emailers 2008, etc",
  "note": "As an update to last year’s post:\n\n\nToni Schneider — 1,052\nMaya Desai — 826\nMom — 659\nRaanan Bar-Cohen — 452\nDonncha O Caoimh — 424\nBarry Abrahamson — 386\nMark Riley — 222\nJane Wells — 218\nRyan Boren — 200\nAndrew Ozz — 197\nMatt Thomas — 193\nLiz Danzico — 148\nMike Hirshland — 144\nHeather Rasley — 139\nJoseph Scott — 129\n\nI’ve expanded the list to 15. A lot of the same folks at the very top, but new faces in Liz and Jane from 2.5 and 2.7 usability cycles. Also three people on the list have changed their domain in the past year, just like I did. It must have been a year for that.\n\nAlso for fun here are some yearly posting stats courtesy of Alex’s queries:\n\n\n\n\nPosts\nAvg. Words\nTotal Words\nAvg. Comments\nTotal Comments\n\n\n2002\n360\n139\n50,190\n1\n390\n\n\n2003\n429\n168\n72,359\n3\n1,287\n\n\n2004\n990\n54\n54,257\n6\n6,236\n\n\n2005\n624\n48\n30,090\n9\n5,963\n\n\n2006\n313\n70\n22,010\n11\n3,503\n\n\n2007\n334\n60\n20,267\n17\n5,919\n\n\n2008\n302\n50\n15,206\n21\n6,493\n\n\nAs you can see I’m doing fewer posts with fewer words than ever, but getting more comments. At this rate I’ll be down to 40 words per post next year. Yay brevity. \n\nWorking on collating some travel / WordCamp stats.\n",
