How to have friends past age 30 - by Noah Smith

How friendship evolves past your 30s is an interesting topic to me, being well over 30. I have a number of good friends, but as many as I had at half my age? No. And how many of those friends are just friends versus business connections or other affiliations. Does that even matter? How do we think about friendship beyond just "spending time". I think this is a particularly poignant topic for men, and it seems to me connected to the overall decline in clubs and organizations that we've seen in the last few decades.
