# Kernel Update, 2.6.35.1 - Host: [slicehost.com](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/slicehost.com/) - Saved: August 24, 2010 (2010-08-24T15:34:00Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/4cca6c6bbdbc/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/4cca6c6bbdbc.json ## From the page (probably an excerpt, not Jamie's words) A new kernel, 2.6.35.1, is now available in the SliceManager for all slices located in our STL-B, DFW, and ORD data centers. Additionally, it is now set as the default kernel when rebuilding an existing slice or for any new slices that you may add to your account. If you would like to upgrade the kernel on your pre-existing slice, you can do so by following the steps described in this blog post. Please keep in mind that this process will require a reboot of your slice in order to fully complete. If you have any questions or run into any issues, we are available 24/7 in SliceChat. We can also be reached by submitting a ticket through the SliceManager or emailing us directly at support@slicehost.com. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Same host - [Redesigns and office pics](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/d088bc165ddb/) (slicehost.com, June 20, 2008) - [Private IPs for your slices](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/e04a82f99c78/) (slicehost.com, August 7, 2008) - [Summit Pics](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6f8d51af43ff/) (slicehost.com, October 1, 2008) - [Prepayment bonus is back!](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/7c399f43bb4c/) (slicehost.com, February 24, 2009) - [Ubuntu Karmic Koala Note // Slicehost - VPS Hosting](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/bc6152f96401/) (slicehost.com, October 29, 2009) ## Saved the same week - [YC-Funded The Fridge Takes The Privacy Headaches Out Of Sharing With Friends](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/a9e3587018d8/) (techcrunch.com, August 23, 2010) - [New Verification Integration With Asynch](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/e5eaa40449cd/) (analytics.blogspot.com, August 23, 2010) - [Breaking Social Networking Interconnections](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/09f7fbf6a056/) (opticality.com, August 24, 2010) - [The naked truth a 5DmkII report by AFPs Ed Jones on the first 3D porn movie](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/f6d67eee4cc0/) (newsshooter.com, August 24, 2010) - [The CEO Mentor and Coach](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/7b0f856dbce6/) (avc.com, August 25, 2010) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.slicehost.com/articles/2010/8/24/kernel-update-2-6-35-1
