Support the members of your team and help them grow. > 2. Follow along the deliveries, setting quality standards, making sure the team has the support they need and upper management the feedback they need. > 3. Keep a constant practice of creating, improving or eliminating team or company processes. I would agree with those three as the fundamentals. I think you can layer on additional aspects too, but get those three things first. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Appears in - [WT162: Weekly Thing #162 / iPhone 12, Lidar, Quibi](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/162/), Recommended Links ## Saved the same week - [A review of consensus protocols](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/808d17f2016c/) (thomasvilhena.com, October 19, 2020) - [YouTube bans QAnon, other conspiracy content that targets individuals](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/5893248a7cad/) (nbcnews.com, October 19, 2020) - [Lidar used to cost $75,000—here’s how Apple brought it to the iPhone | Ars Technica](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6d30692f004a/) (arstechnica.com, October 19, 2020) - [Global coronavirus rise by one-day record of 400,000](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9b334831957f/) (news.trust.org, October 19, 2020) - [Covid-19: The global crisis — in data](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/98526448c777/) (ig.ft.com, October 19, 2020) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://blog.rlmflores.me/2020/10/14/what_is_expected_of_an_engineering_manager/
