DAO Landscape — Mirror

I am incredibly interested in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) on Ethereum to allow people to self-organized communities for a variety of collective actions.

DAOs are internet communities with a shared cap table and bank account.

Members work together to create, distribute and capture value relative to a shared mission. Ownership shares economic, social and political components, creating best practices for digital coordination.

I love the examples that this article highlights as well as a comprehensive list of DAO tools and services.

From grants to payroll, token swaps to M&A - expect the next wave of mercenaries to show why web3 governance is a complete paradigm shift. (more on this topic to come in my next post).

Very soon, we could see a world where DAOs are the new LLCs.

I think this is a given, and will happen likely faster than we expect. Plus, a DAO will be easier to create than an LLC, and rather than being a bunch of paper in a tax ID number — DAO's have capability and function.

DAO's have the potential for small to large groups of people to self-organize, take action collectively, and deal with all the financial aspects in the blockchain.
