# Tom's Hardware says Apple and PC prices are equivalent - Host: [tuaw.com](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/tuaw.com/) - Saved: August 7, 2008 (2008-08-08T01:00:00Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6d4f1477e413/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6d4f1477e413.json ## From the page (probably an excerpt, not Jamie's words) To the average user, that seems true -- if you go to, say, a Best Buy or a Circuit City, and look at the Macs they're selling versus the seemingly equivalent PCs they're selling, then yes, you're seeing higher pricetags on the Apple stuff. But when Tom's lays out what you get out of each computer, the prices are generally the same. In fact, they even build an equivalent Mac Pro, and there's only a $5.67 difference. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Same host - [IPhone 2.1 SDK Disappointments](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b6136d9fb5b1/) (tuaw.com, July 25, 2008) - [CalDAV support comes to Google Calendar](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/3020f1b3fd07/) (tuaw.com, July 28, 2008) - [More App Store sales figures](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/5a739cacd74c/) (tuaw.com, August 14, 2008) - [Cyan porting Myst to iPhone](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/3c756fc7e156/) (tuaw.com, August 22, 2008) - [Terminal Tips: Make your Screensaver a desktop background](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/da4349d6bacf/) (tuaw.com, August 25, 2008) ## Saved the same week - [Geo Tagging comes to Nikon Cameras](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/381aaa9c9c75/) (cameradojo.com, August 4, 2008) - [Private IPs for your slices](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/e04a82f99c78/) (slicehost.com, August 7, 2008) - [Remove Your Mac's Hard Drive from the Desktop \[Mac Tip\]](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/cfc2f67f0523/) (lifehacker.com, August 7, 2008) - [Big Green Egg, World's Best Smoker and Grill](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b25432d4aca8/) (biggreenegg.com, August 7, 2008) - [Volumizer Puts Your Mac Drives on the Dock \[Featured Mac Download\]](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/df8f25a70fc7/) (lifehacker.com, August 8, 2008) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.tuaw.com/2008/08/07/toms-hardware-says-apple-and-pc-prices-are-equivalent/
