# New Action Links make third-party Facebook apps more interactive - Host: [venturebeat.com](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/venturebeat.com/) - Saved: May 4, 2012 (2012-05-04T15:49:53Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/82aa05c36b51/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/82aa05c36b51.json ## From the page (probably an excerpt, not Jamie's words) These links will allow viewers to do specific tasks related to the post or app, and theyre not limited to Facebooks built-in action types Read, Listen, and Watch. For example, you can now Fave this Product for a Fab.com post, which will add something you see on a friends feed to your own Fab.com list. Some other early examples include Save this Place on Foursquare and Save this Recipe for a cooking app. When you click the link, you will complete the action and also post a story on your timeline/feed/ticker telling all of your friends that you did so. That wont be annoying at all. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Same host - [Press 3 for $15 million How Twilio got a touchtone term sheet](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6d795cd637ae/) (venturebeat.com, April 17, 2012) - [Gap, H&M, and others welcome Wrapps awesome social gift cards to the U.S.](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9932d87a11db/) (venturebeat.com, April 30, 2012) - [Brazil retailer using Facebook likes on its clothing hangers](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/36695c229709/) (venturebeat.com, May 7, 2012) - [Fred Wilson: We invested in DuckDuckGo for the Reddit, Hacker News anarchists](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/f5dc9c43f39e/) (venturebeat.com, May 22, 2012) - [Big data: a retailers guide to likes, tweets, reviews, customer data, and basically everything else](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/1632bf698f2b/) (venturebeat.com, November 26, 2012) ## Saved the same week - [Just My Type](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6549bcb6d6ef/) (justmytype.co, May 3, 2012) - [Fixie](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/cd941a49db59/) (fixiejs.com, May 3, 2012) - [Pchart4mw extension for creating charts](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b51817a51dcc/) (code.google.com, May 3, 2012) - [Coldplay - "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)" - Live May 4, 2012](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/0e978fa22e0b/) (youtube.com, May 5, 2012) - [25 Quality Responsive WordPress Themes](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/21265980777c/) (designwoop.com, May 6, 2012) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://venturebeat.com/2012/05/02/new-action-links-make-third-party-facebook-apps-more-interactive/
