# Daring Fireball: Watch, Apple Watch - Host: [daringfireball.net](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/daringfireball.net/) - Saved: April 30, 2015 (2015-04-30T11:28:38Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/8c6b188ae8db/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/8c6b188ae8db.json ## From the page (probably an excerpt, not Jamie's words) Half the fun of the gadgets like Roger Moore’s Bond’s watches was imagining that we — regular folks in the real world — would have them in the future, alongside jetpacks and flying cars. Phone calls on our wrists. Asking our watch, verbally, what time tonight’s Yankees game starts and getting the correct answer a few moments later. But importantly: packaged not as a clumsy, homely device, but in the casing of, well, a nice, stylish watch. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Same host - [Google’s App Aesthetic](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/688f9ac57a4a/) (daringfireball.net, November 3, 2014) - [Daring Fireball: Merry](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/7ec9ad6b42e5/) (daringfireball.net, December 26, 2014) - [★ Safari Content Blocker, Before and After](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/aa6b43dc8d8d/) (daringfireball.net, July 8, 2015) - [WatchOS 2.0 Delayed, Will Not Ship Today](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b3330a303d90/) (daringfireball.net, September 16, 2015) - [★ The iPhones 6S](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/d602ca7f78c0/) (daringfireball.net, September 22, 2015) ## Saved the same week - [Interview: Louis C.K., Comedian And Star Of 'Louie' : NPR](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/fb9d7389b8f3/) (npr.org, April 28, 2015) - [Home - OrientDB Multi-Model NoSQL Database](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/c3a2cbd5b6c6/) (orientdb.com, April 29, 2015) - [2015 AWS Summit Security Presentations Are Now Available](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ff3dbde4bc21/) (blogs.aws.amazon.com, April 29, 2015) - [Vault - HashiCorp](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/6e2f5c09720d/) (hashicorp.com, April 29, 2015) - [The days are long but the decades are short](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/f7c47021cff6/) (blog.samaltman.com, April 29, 2015) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://daringfireball.net/2015/04/watch_apple_watch
