# Creating a static website for all my bookmarks – alexwlchan - Host: [alexwlchan.net](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/alexwlchan.net/) - Saved: May 15, 2025 (2025-05-15T12:08:19Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/92d31b1394d8/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/92d31b1394d8.json ## What Jamie wrote I read this with interest since bookmarking is, I guess, a hobby of mine and how links get right here into the Weekly Thing. I’m bookmarking about bookmarking. How meta. I also use Pinboard as Chan does and I have in the past fed those bookmarks from the Pinboard API into static files to then generate a linkblog. I prefer using a newsletter to share these. But someday I will likely want to turn that into a site of its own. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Appears in - [WT319: Weekly Thing 319 / Embeddings, Passkeys, Macros](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/319/), Notable ## Same host - [Building a personal archive of the web, the slow way – alexwlchan](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9951aec748e4/) (alexwlchan.net, May 22, 2025) - [Rebuilding the computer room – alexwlchan](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/eea9547a1c4c/) (alexwlchan.net, June 30, 2026) ## Saved the same week - [2025-05-11 air traffic control](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/204da8961ba5/) (computer.rip, May 15, 2025) - [Iceland approved the 4-day workweek in 2019: nearly 6 years later, all the predictions made have come true.](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/72c62f6e3cac/) (farmingdale-observer.com, May 15, 2025) - [What is HDR, anyway?](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/8f2434a37b44/) (lux.camera, May 15, 2025) - [The cryptography behind passkeys - The Trail of Bits Blog](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/4731b17c3c55/) (blog.trailofbits.com, May 15, 2025) - [F1 at 75](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/721dbbaccfc8/) (bbc.co.uk, May 15, 2025) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://alexwlchan.net/2025/bookmarks-static-site/
