A Python interpreter for iPhone and iPad that could natively integrate with iOS system features, Pythonista opened up a new world to me, demonstrating how I could automate tedious tasks on iOS devices via scripting. Since then, other apps have come along and shown how iOS tasks can be automated with visual interfaces and pre-packaged actions (above all, Workflow and Launch Center Pro), but Pythonista is, in many ways, the crown jewel of iOS automation and scripting for advanced users. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Same host - [The New Apple TV: Our Complete Overview – MacStories](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/dcb067290a70/) (macstories.net, September 13, 2015) - [iOS 9: The MacStories Review, Created on iPad](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/54d1dbcf4599/) (macstories.net, September 16, 2015) - [iPad Pro Review: A New Canvas](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ff7256a9e24a/) (macstories.net, November 11, 2015) - [My Must-Have iOS Apps, 2015 Edition](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/845d850de7fb/) (macstories.net, December 23, 2015) - [HeartWatch 2 Review](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/10b577452eca/) (macstories.net, February 13, 2016) ## Saved the same week - [52 things I learned in 2015 — Medium](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/48f2e581f7ff/) (medium.com, January 12, 2016) - [AWS Case Study: Brooks Brothers](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ccb87d79baa7/) (aws.amazon.com, January 12, 2016) - [Typography for Lawyers](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/a903bfed67ed/) (typographyforlawyers.com, January 13, 2016) - [In the Works – AWS Region in Canada](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/48be29eac700/) (aws.amazon.com, January 13, 2016) - [The Infinity Binder](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/2900f6ebb425/) (theinfinitybinder.com, January 13, 2016) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://www.macstories.net/reviews/pythonista-2-0-brings-action-extension-ipad-pro-support-code-editor-improvements-and-more/
