For those who dont have a clue what Angry Birds is all about, here is a quick synopsis. The game involves employing a sling shot to propel small cannonball-shaped birds with really bad attitudes at rather fragile glass and timber houses populated by basically catatonic green pigs. The basic thrust of the game is to bring about the demise of the pigs as quickly and expertly as possible by collapsing the pigs houses on top of their (sometimes) helmeted heads. Obviously, this sounds like a truly dumb concept. However, there is a catch. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Saved the same week - [The Best Films of 2011 - Roger Ebert's Journal](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/5b76fe760e51/) (blogs.suntimes.com, December 19, 2011) - [Dig This America's 1st and Only Heavy Equipment Playground](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/338f9b75ca86/) (digthisvegas.com, December 19, 2011) - [The Pink Floyd Experience](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/79b0f556df84/) (thepinkfloydexperience.net, December 19, 2011) - [LensKit Recommender Framework — About](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/47849358217f/) (lenskit.grouplens.org, December 20, 2011) - [High Scalability - High Scalability - How Twitter Stores 250 Million Tweets a Day Using MySQL](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/f2a07acc658e/) (highscalability.com, December 20, 2011) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.mauronewmedia.com/blog/why-angry-birds-is-so-successful-a-cognitive-teardown-of-the-user-experience/
