Congrats to the creator of Wordle for selling it to the New York Times. Tammy and I have been enjoying playing it still.

Wordle gets two things right. 

1. Only one word a day, so you play it once a day and then your done. Limited time commitment, and actually leaves you looking forward to tomorrow.
2. Perhaps most importantly, everyone has the same word. There is a sense of shared community that would be lost otherwise.

Wordle is like everyone tuning in for Thursday night TV in the 80's and sharing stories with friends about the word of that day.
