I still think there is something interesting in community coins powered by crypto. I created a [Weekly Thing coin](https://app.flipcash.com/token/2APB1Xpfs77TDsvSNDG33sEazx8Bvt3TXpNkN2NyNB5D) just to see how it worked. It is interesting that it is hosted on Solana but enforces Bitcoins 21 million coin limit. Not sure what I'll do with my Weekly Thing coins though. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Appears in - [WT349: WT349 — Owning the Rails](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/349/), Notable ## Same host - [I've Moved Onchain | AVC](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9103b585281f/) (avc.xyz, May 2, 2024) - [Writer Coin - Next Day Thoughts](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/4db3956735fe/) (avc.xyz, November 26, 2025) ## Saved the same week - [The quiet grief of adult friendship](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/dcd1a4bf9f30/) (timesofindia.indiatimes.com, May 21, 2026) - [The Productivity Apps That Don’t Speak Agent Will Lose](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/00457834d145/) (macsparky.com, May 21, 2026) - [Introducing Shortcuts Playground: Create Apple Shortcuts with Claude Code or Codex](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b02ed5667a1d/) (macstories.net, May 21, 2026) - [Minnesota to ban prediction markets like Kalshi, Polymarket : NPR](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/579589bab68c/) (npr.org, May 22, 2026) - [The Third Bit: Twelve Ways to Be Wrong About AI-Assisted Coding](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ffcf83480228/) (third-bit.com, May 22, 2026) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://avc.xyz/create-your-own-currency-with-flipcash
