What Jamie wrote
This should be exhibit number one for why we need privacy regulation in the United States. First it was our Smart TVs actually listening to us, with microphones, and then watching us, with cameras and selling that information. Now our cars are recording all of our activity and selling that as well. These are both great examples in part because nobody expects either TVs or cars to surveil you and there is no way to opt-out of them. This should be completely illegal without our consent and it should be mandatory that you have to disclose that you are doing this kind of data collection.
