Given my strong views on privacy it wouldn't surprise anyone that I’m opposed to the idea of putting devices in my house that create a platform for advertisers to then reach me. The model makes sense though, and I suspect that this will be popular. Buying a product for reduced price and agreeing to have your activity surveilled seems to be a tradeoff some are wiling to make.
