  "note": "Interesting take specifically parsing the solutions that cloud providers build in-house versus outside parties building for those platforms. Bernhardsson's argument kind of lies on two beliefs:\n\n1. You cannot be the best in the world at all layers in the stack.\n2. Cloud vendors will do better if they outsource the R&D of the higher-level services. \n\nThe example used here is how much better Snowflake is than Redshift. That is certainly one that backs up Bernhardsson's point. I don't know how extendable that argument is into other parts of the technology stack though. It is definitely an interesting proposition though.",
