# The loss of @towerbridge from a cultural point of view - Host: [stef.io](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/stef.io/) - Saved: June 15, 2011 (2011-06-15T10:53:24Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/deec888d0eab/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/deec888d0eab.json ## What Jamie wrote It seems so short-sighted that a museum has deleted all of this - all of the URLs pointing at this account are now broken. A genuinely interesting part of the bridge's, and the internet's history is now gone, whereas the opposite should have happened - this account should have been included in the museum's activity. People enjoyed the account, it proved an interesting and funny way of humanising the day-to-day operations of the structure in a way that hadn't been done before. > Sad news - the unofficial @towerbridge account has been shut down and replaced with an official one. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Saved the same week - [4 ways content management systems are evolving & why it matters to journalists](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9a39b3c099e0/) (poynter.org, June 15, 2011) - [How To Party Your Way Into a Multi-Million Dollar Facebook Job](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/37e270d3870a/) (gawker.com, June 15, 2011) - [Childrens book publisher Lerner expands digital catalog with first iPad offering](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/591024bcb720/) (thelinemedia.com, June 15, 2011) - [New Daily Deals Study Finds Red Flags For The Industry](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/52cf3365660f/) (gigaom.com, June 15, 2011) - [Help Clean Up Minnehaha Creek](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/56d9ebe096d1/) (patch.com, June 15, 2011) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://stef.io/2011/06/13/the-loss-of-towerbridge-from-a-cultural-point-of-view/
