# Rupert Murdoch, Blogger? - Host: [businessinsider.com](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/businessinsider.com/) - Saved: May 12, 2008 (2008-05-12T18:51:00Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ecf4f0650681/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ecf4f0650681.json ## From the page (probably an excerpt, not Jamie's words) Buyout mogul Carl Icahn says he's just about ready to start blogging at his personal site, The Icahn Report, any day now -- as long as he gets the OK from his lawyers. Has he started a trend? At a party for Arianna Huffington last week, one of her eager employers cornered Rupert Murdoch, and asked the News Corp. (NWS) boss whether he'd like to start writing posts for free, too. The exchange, via the NY Observer: 'Would you blog for us?' said a young political reporter. 'Would you ever want to do a blog for us?'Mr. Murdoch gazed at him silently for a few seconds, then smiled. 'I'd love to,' he said. We're not sure that this represents an ironclad commitment on Rupe's part. But if it is, we have a proposal for his first contribution: "Why I Was Sure I Was Going To Buy Newsday A Week Ago, And What Happened Next". ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Same host - [Murdoch's WSJ: More News, Less Business](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9b7cd71073a4/) (businessinsider.com, April 25, 2008) - [Microsoft's Zune Adds NBC Shows, Other Features; Still Unable To Combat](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/088ca1ef06b0/) (businessinsider.com, May 7, 2008) - [A Reason To Visit CNBC's Web Site: Real-Time NASDAQ Quotes](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/b1734a92f1f2/) (businessinsider.com, June 2, 2008) - [WSJ, IAC (Finally) Launch FiLife Personal Finance Site](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/75ee645dafd7/) (businessinsider.com, June 11, 2008) - [Technorati Raises $7.5 Million, Crashes](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/264136c387d6/) (businessinsider.com, June 13, 2008) ## Saved the same week - [Simplifying ASP.Net - NVelocity](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/2caf72cbae3d/) (simpable.com, May 12, 2008) - [WordPress Themes](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/04058c79aff2/) (themes.barleyhut.com, May 13, 2008) - [Introducing the Google Maps API for Flash](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/1e3c373b2eef/) (googlemapsapi.blogspot.com, May 14, 2008) - [Twitter Traffic Explosion: Whos behind it all?](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/9bd0c1ca1f55/) (blog.compete.com, May 16, 2008) - [Skim](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/f635aa34c9ae/) (skim-app.sourceforge.net, May 18, 2008) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.businessinsider.com/2008/5/rupert-murdoch-blogger-
