Four main analytics and marketing companies were discovered to be receiving information such as the names, private IP addresses, mobile network carriers, persistent identifiers, and sensor data on the devices of paying customers.\n\nThis really shouldn't surprise anyone. Amazon bought Ring, and they should be cleaning house here. They also bought Eero, and want customers to believe that they will not surveil their private browsing activity at home? The behavior of Ring doesn't provide any support for the brand promises being made by Eero.",
