## What Jamie wrote

So some particularly sneaky senators have decided that the thing that they need to focus on in the midst of a global pandemic, record unemployment, and racial injustice is, wait for it, encryption. This is yet another attempt by congress to force technology companies to provide a backdoor to encryption. We should actually say what it really is, it outlaws end-to-end encryption. The governments persistent attempts to outlaw end-to-end encryption are concerning, and the timing of this underhanded attempt is sinister. Please watch this and make sure it doesn't get anywhere near passage.
