# Pi-hole v5.0 is here! – Pi-hole®: A black hole for Internet advertisements - Host: [pi-hole.net](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/hosts/pi-hole.net/) - Saved: May 14, 2020 (2020-05-15T02:29:35Z) - Record: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ff9c4f0b4ed6/ - JSON: https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ff9c4f0b4ed6.json ## What Jamie wrote Great upgrade for Pi-hole. I like the addition of filtering by groups. A lot of people will probably use that to filter differently for their kids and the adults. I would also recommend using it to create groups for home automation, smart speakers, exercise equipment. You can then control what information those devices are sending on you as well. I noticed recently that my Peloton gear tries to send a lot of tracking data but it’s all blocked on my network. ## Facts - Kind: [Page](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/kinds/page/) ## Appears in - [WT148: Weekly Thing #148 / What Day Is It?, Written Communication, Lisp](https://weekly.thingelstad.com/archive/148/), Recommended Links ## Same host - [Pi-hole®: A black hole for Internet advertisements](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/3019c4c56f17/) (pi-hole.net, November 21, 2017) ## Saved the same week - [Product for Internal Platforms - Camille Fournier - Medium](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/0f03a9d53bee/) (medium.com, May 14, 2020) - [Gocycle’s GXi is a folding e-bike with few equals | Engadget](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/a8438086d0b7/) (engadget.com, May 14, 2020) - [Fast or Slow - Global Website Performance Profiler](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/fc060c64fc5d/) (fastorslow.com, May 14, 2020) - [Second-guessing the modern web - macwright.org](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/ebaa216561b0/) (macwright.org, May 14, 2020) - [The Risks - Know Them - Avoid Them](https://links.thingelstad.xyz/links/42d15f39e224/) (erinbromage.com, May 14, 2020) ## Elsewhere - Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://pi-hole.net/2020/05/10/pi-hole-v5-0-is-here/
