Poaps are a big deal

I have been having some fun with POAPs. I think it is a very fun way to introduce people to some crypto / web3 technologies without having to spend any money.
August was the biggest month ever for Poap mints with 327k minted; 1.7k on Ethereum mainnet and 325k on xDai.
That is great progress for something that only started in February 2019. Also, I love how you can use POAP tokens along with other concepts like DAOs.
For example, a DAO could decide to weigh votes on treasury spending proposals with more power going to wallets that hold multiple DAO poaps (Poaps for contributing to the codebase, attending IRL community events, being active in town hall calls, .etc.) instead of weighting voting power according to who holds the most DAO tokens. Poap already has native integrations with Snapshot for DAO governance.
I subscribed to NiftyTable, it seems like a good way to stay in the flow of NFT activity. If you want even more check out the Proof podcast.
