SimCity is one of the very few games I ever played for extended periods of time. Tetris was the other. I loved early versions of SimCity and had a city that I had built and expanded for years of play. I remember actually importing that original city into SimCity 2000 and maybe even SimCity 3000. Then the went downhill as EA shifted it more online, more pay-to-play and ruined many of the original game mechanics. A shame really. It would have been so great to just see that original game get better and better graphics and faster gameplay, instead of going off a cliff.
